I didn't get the impression we were suppose to feel sorry for the coyotes. Realize that they were not viable suspects, yes - but not to feel sorry for them. They weren't good suspects because stories of people getting killed in a particular area is not good for their business. Nor do I think we were suppose to feel sorry for drug lord who was killed. It was the deputy's death we were suppose to feel for. That and all the other immigrants that were buried in Boyd's backyard.
Regarding the other cops not noticing - that is something we see a lot in CM. Even cops can't always see the psychopathic killer right in front of them. And it was clear none of the other deputies really knew Boyd.
