I didn't get the impression we were suppose to feel sorry for the coyotes. Realize that they were not viable suspects, yes - but not to feel sorry for them.

Yeah. Especially considering the raped woman. That pretty much prevented that the coyotes would come across as too sympathetic, didn't it.
