Season 6 News

I'm pretty sure this hasn't been posted yet, but TV Guide has some more news on next season. Mild spoilers.

Mega Buzz: Bones' TV Gig, The Good Wife's Triangle and Criminal Minds' Hostages

How will Criminal Minds resolve last season's cliff-hanger? — Marcus
ADAM:
The season premiere finds the team in what executive producer Ed Bernero calls a "rolling hostage situation," during which an unexpected member of the team will be called upon to make contact with Tim Curry's creepy killer in an unorthodox way. "The solution rests on whether or not that team member can convince this psychopath to spare the little girl he's taken," Bernero says, adding that "another team member will be affected for a long, long time by what happens."

The same article more or less on  DigitalSpy.

Does anyone else think that the other team member  is possibly JJ? I have a feeling they're going to be using the fact that she's a mother witnessing a child being taken hostage as a way to write her out of the show.

Ok, I'm having the feeling that the 'unexpected member of the team' is gonna be Garcia. Lets' face it, out of all of them, she would be the least expected member of the team to talk down a creepy psychopath.

As for the team member affected for a long time, my guess is that it'll be JJ or Morgan. I'm just speculating here but maybe this time the team isn't gonna be able to save the girl, that she'll end up raped and killed. As for the killer, maybe he might get away again or ends up killing himself to avoid capture. I could see how this would mentally mess up JJ as a mother or Morgan as a victim of sexual abuse and being unable to stop the killer from taking the little girl.
