Wow. I'm so seriously tired of Garcia storylines now. And seriously I called the Garcia acting thing last week. It's not original. It's like making Reid from Vegas and doing magic because Gubler does. I call that lazy characterization.
*sigh* My show makes me sad this year. JJ is gone, the verve is gone, and pretty soon Prentiss will be gone too.
:/
At least I thought most of the acting was pretty good this episode. But seriously, I'm so out of love with Garcia this year. Pushing her in my face like, "Look, we kept ONE girl" is just not gonna do it.
Thanks for this. I thought it was just me. It's like they've lost their ability to be all sneaky and sly and subtle in their storytelling this season. I've loved CM like crazy since the beginning, but just not feeling it this year. However, all the Reid/Rossi scenes do make me smile. :)
OH THANK GOD. I was afraid I was just being bitchy because Prentiss is my favorite and I'm still bitter. I mean, I love them all. I've loved every one of them except Gideon. And I always thought this was the smartest show on TV. But this season... yeah. But okay, yeah, Reid & Rossi are fun. :D
LOL! Uh, happy to oblige, I guess. I'm kinda bitter on the ladies front, too, but was thinking maybe it'll be okay. Different circumstances, sure, but the show made it through character losses before, and did so beautifully. I took forever to warm up to Prentiss because I missed Elle so much. I've always trusted these writers to rise to any challenge. Maybe they're tired? I don't know. At least Reid's still pretty, right? :)
I loved Elle, too, but I didn't mind Prentiss coming in. And I was ecstatic over Gideon leaving and Rossi coming in. I've been dealing with JJ's leaving because I thought the writers handled writing her out really well. But that just makes me more nervous about how Prentiss will leave. But yeah, in the past, the writers have been able to carry me through a lot...but this season just... yeah, it feels tired.
I actually like the way Hotch and Garcia are struggling to fill JJ's role. I mean they're a man down, no one was happy about it and they haven't forgotten all about it. It's continuity and character development for Garcia.
I mean i wasn't so much in love with Garcia before. I mean she ahs killer style and awesome one-liners, but i like this.
But yeah, i can has more Prentiss before she leaves, kthanx?
Don't get me wrong, I always loved Garcia, and I like that they're struggling to fill JJ's role, but I'm ready for them to put that struggle in the background and look at the other characters. I mean, if nothing else, how does Em feel being the only woman in the field these days? How is Reid doing without his "big sis" JJ around to keep an eye on him? JJ's leaving affected the rest of the team too.
I love Garcia, I do. But I think it all goes back to my complaints about CBS firing the girls, and the Reid-whumpage we've had in the past. This isn't the Garcia show or the Reid show or even the Hotch show. It's an ensemble, and I'm really really ready for them to focus on the rest of the ensemble. :/
