Completely agree. I think the guy realizes something is wrong with Reid and is pushing him so that he'll make a mistake. Like you pointed out it doesn't take much to affect someone who is suffering from strong headaches (even the sound of your own voice can be painful).
But I just hope the explanation isn't too 'out there'. If the guy simply realizes Reid has a headache, fine, but I don't want him to 'magically' know what is medically wrong with him (and his brain). I also hope the explanation of Reid's symptoms is purely medical and not resolved too quickly. It could be the start of a great storyline.
