Open Letter to CBS

Dear Criminal Minds fans,

With the mods' permission, I would like the bring to your attention the open letter posted on criminalmindsfanatic.blogspot.com regarding the fans' concern about the still unrenewed contracts of Thomas Gibson and Shemar Moore. It's a brief and concise letter addressed to CBS with the intention of voicing the fans' anxiety about the way CBS has treated the CM actresses this year and about the uncertainty regarding Messrs. Gibson and Moore's contracts. It's currently open for comments.

It's a nice way to put in our two cents, so if you're interested, click on the link above, read the letter, and sign it with a comment. Let's hope it works to keep the actors on the show.

(P.S. Have I really actually found a tag named 'wtfcbs?' LOL! This alone should be an indicator of how wrong things have been going this year.)

Thanks for sharing I left my message, I hope that contracts will be renewed Criminal Minds would not be the
same without Hotch and Morgan.
No Hotch and Morgan, no CM!

Thanks for this :)

TG emphasized in his last chat with fans (a couple of weeks back) that this kind of lengthy bargaining is par for the course with contract negotiations, and he doesn't appear too concerned about it all.

Yes, well that tag was instituted last summer when JJ and Prentiss leaving was first announced. Hopefully we'll be able to retire it after Thomas & Shemar renew their contracts.

Yeah. Based on this alone, I'm not that worried, though I have been starting to get more anxious as the weeks have been going by. Plus the fact that they seemed to be setting up for Hotch to take over for Strauss in the last ep made me a bit nervous. I'm hoping it's just a fake out, but this fandom can never be too careful I guess.

The show itself hasn't even been renewed for an S7 yet, btw. XD

I left my comment, too. Thanks for sharing this!

thanks for the link! Comment posted.
I think the way the cast is being treated is outrageous considering the amazing job they've been doing so far.
I won't be watching if Emily doesn't come back, yet Criminal Minds without Morgan and Hotch it's a gruesome perspective...

I can't see the show without Morgan. Who would Garcia banter with? It's not possible. It just isn't.

Losing Hotch would kill the show entirely. The network should know that by now.

My first instinct was to say, "Come on, people, contract negotiations are normal. There's no way they're going to axe two of their main characters like that."

Except ... they DID. Last season.

So while I feel in a way like this petition is a bit too hysterical, I can also see why people would be legitimately terrified about losing Thomas and Shemar.

I'm just going to hope that they've learned the error of their ways and that we're all worried for nothing.
