"I made a mistake and I need your help to make things right."

"Why should I help?"

"Because it means keeping the BAU intact dispite the budget cuts."

"What do I do?"

"Take over my position in the Bureau."

"And how does that help the team?"

"You will have the power to make the decisions that allocates the funds."

"And the cloud in this silver lining?"

"I need you to keep an eye on Aaron Hotchner."
