My first thought was that she might be a ghost, someone who died at least a hundred years ago, maybe in that same bookstore where they meet. But I’m pretty sure something like that has been done on TV before. Also, it would put Reid uncomfortably close to hallucinations and a potential schizophrenia storyline, which is not something I’m particularly interested in seeing.
While I think that the idea of a Muslim girlfriend is interesting, I’m not sure if anybody who’s deeply religious, no matter from what religion, would date Reid who is not a very religious man himself. (And I would, maybe falsely, associate wearing a niqab with being deeply religious.) Actually, I could better picture Morgan with a Muslim girlfriend once he decides to settle down and give up his player attitude for something serious.
Maybe she’s a burn victim and has to wear one of those plastic compression masks on her face to help with the healing.
