I can't think of a CM episode. You might (maybe possibly) be thinking of "In Heat", because the unsub picking up men and then killing them because of his own struggle against homosexuality is a reflection of Larry Eyler, who was a serial killer in the Midwest in the late 70s and early 80s (from my hometown, actually) who had the same MO. Eyler had AIDS and eventually died of it.
