Both! You are not allowed to fall around laughing, but I have a really, really low threshold when it comes to tension and/or gore. And yes, I am an avid watcher of Buffy, Supernatural, Torchwood, Criminal Minds etc etc.
...it doesn't make sense to me either. But I have been known to stop halfway through watching an episode and go read spoilers to reassure myself that it's all going to be okay at the end.
Right, so falling down laughing isn't allowed, but is giggling? ::g::
It's weird, I've never thought myself to have a high tolerance to gore/gross/scary, but there have been precious few times that CM or SPN have creeped me out (the razor blade part of last Halloween's SPN episode aside, ergh). I'm usually the one giggling while everyone else is covering their eyes. Needless to say, I'm really hoping tonight's episode brings the creepy/horror, (and without a bloody horrible cliffhanger, lol).
Now, on the other hand, my embarrassment squick is MASSIVE and LARGE AND MASSIVE.
No cliffhanger would be sooooooo good. Are we assured a 5th season or not? *bites nails*
I have a terrible embarrassment squick (a 'leave the room' level one) but my big one is a humiliation squick because anyone who writes 'funny' humiliation scenes (I'M LOOKING AT YOU, SGA) has not been there. *shudder*
Yup, we've a fifth season. :) It was a sure thing, but it was announced at the upfronts today (http://www.tvweek.com/news/2009/05/cbs_upfront_mentalist_shifts_m.php).
Editing link, as the CBS site hasn't been updated yet.
WEDNESDAY 8: Old Christine 8:30: Gary Unmarried 9: Criminal Minds 9:30 CSI:NY
CSI:NY is @ 10, not 9:30, since CM is an hour long. Silly gooses.
Also, off topic, but I'm really hoping that another network picks up My Name is Earl. That show is hilarious. :D And I <3 <3 <3 Jason Lee. I'm crossing my fingers for CBS, since they're my favorite. :P But I'm betting Fox will.
