Pretty much everyone was badass in this ep. I liked it. Turned around from the slump? I think so.

Also, they remembered Hotch's ear problems. Thank you, writers, for remembering something.

Oh show... why? Called the profile as soon as the vic spoke Spanish, called the UNSUB by the end of the 1st act. Whoever wrote this had a serious case of the "liberal tells"... I thought I was watching L&O! ;P Maybe a more accurate term would be "political tells", but how many tv shows are written by conservatives...? Whatever. This was a pretty good episode, but still, as a person from the Texan border, with friends who are illegals? Kind of insulted that I was expected to sympathize with the coyotes, and to feel bad when that cartel boss got shot. Also sort of insulted that the only good, noble cop who ~cares~ about the plight of the immigrants was a sassy bronx latina, while all the southern white males were too stupid and bigoted to see they were working with a sociopath. Ugh... Maybe next episode won't make me crazy? I did like injury-consistency!Hotch, and denied!Reid made me "aww". Reid wants to play with the big boy guns! I think it's funny that he can't because every time he's fired a gun at someone in the show, he's hit. I think he's a better shot than Morgan, at this point. :)

Oh HELLZ yeah, loads better than last week. Semi-predictable, but UnSub was friggen PSYCHO enough that it was still cool. And bonus points for awesome dialogue.

Only thing worrying me - all this talk about budget cuts at the beginning. Has there been any word yet on CM's status for next season, and if anybody's leaving the cast? I WILL BE HIGHLY DISPLEASED IF WE LOSE SOMEBODY COOL. Or somebody at all. *new to this fandom but already loves it so*
