Conflicted - Adam/Amanda is probably one of my favorite unsubs because Jackson plays both characters so, so very well. I've never seen anyone sit so very comfortably in a role, so that you believe it with every fiber of your being. Not only Adam, but Amanda as well. I love both sides of the personality and how you can feel so bad for him and also so thoroughly detest what he is doing and be so intrigued all at once.
Mayhem is really amazing too and 52 Pickup has great moments, but I love Minimal Loss. The cult group, the toughness Prentiss shows and the emotion of the episode is just amazing.
I really had to think about this one, because there are so many amazing episodes this season: Conflicted, The Big Wheel, 52 Pickup, and probably about three others that I'm not thinking of at the moment. But I picked Minimal Loss because it hit so many personal kinks for me. We got to see Prentiss being so tough and compassionate. We got to see Guilty!Reid, and Smart!Reid, and my personal favorite, Snarky!Reid. Hugs! Explosions! Hotch and Rossi outside the mix and being very very pissed about all that! Luke Perry!
Minimal Loss Another episode that showcases what a badass that Emily Prentiss is. Plus I think it really plays up the brother/sister bond between Reid and Prentiss.
52 Pickup Loved Reid doing magic with Austin in the club. Him also demonstrating the push/pull at the cop shop so easily and confidently. And the whole interaction between Viper and Prentiss just cracks me up.
Zoe's Reprise We got to see a very human side of David Rossi. He seems so untouched and gruff most of the times but this shows us that he does feel deeply.
House on Fire The judgment of a small town can be crippling. Even though what the unsub did was awful, a small part of me felt bad for him. The town drove him away from his sister and had a hand in making him what he became. Plus there was the totally awesome scene at the end between Hotch and Garcia. And him pushing her outside her whole comfort zone? Not something I want to see on a regular basis but I think that all of the team members need to do this from time to time.
Lots of givens here, like Amplification and To Hell...and Back, but The Big Wheel was such a great episode, to me, because the team plays such a small role in the episode, and focuses almost entirely on the unsub, whom you feel extremely sympathetic for.
The Instincts/Memoriam and Amplification - I always love to learn more about Reid and these 3 are episodes that don't rely so much on Reid's being a genius to solve the case. They're shedding more light on his emotional/human side.
House on Fire was great for me bc of Kirsten's acting. Seeing Garcia crumble was just..GUH. Seriously, I could never pick just ONE favorite epi of any season (unless we're talking season 3 and even then, its a toss up between Lucky and Penelope.)
