True. Even more twisted is that is far form the worst take on the father-son relationship we have seen.
This is what I love about this show. They made feel sorry for that SOB of a Sheriff. No doubt he meant well - he tried to do what he thought was best - (and for all we know that is how HE was raised) and it all went to hell.
What I really liked was that Hotch did not even attempt to sugar coat it. He didn't give the man a comforting lie about how it was not his fault, and it is not his fault his son turned out the way he did. At the same time, he gave the man a small bit of hope that all is not lost - that he can still repair the relationship - even if his the kid will be jail for the rest of his life.
not overly impressed with the ep but I GOT TO SEE IT RIGHT WHILE IT WAS ON AIR! no download, no tech hassle, just plain tv. me is lovin' holidays in the US :-))) (sry not as if anyone would care but that was just too much of a squee moment *g*)
I care! I have a two year old who has weird sleep habits. So if I actually get to sit down at nine and watch the show, it's a miracle. My man and I have had fights about it. I get a little cranky when I miss an episode. I want one hour, once a week to myself - Wednesdays at 9PM, is that so much to ask?? So I'll squee with you! :)
That is really all I have to say about this episode (except not really, since a bunch of things just occurred to me).
1. Reid is accustomed to the presence of strippers.
2. Prentiss adopted a fairly strange intonation during her negotiation business. It was like a cross between a southern accent and an oddly sensual tone (to make the men feel uncomfortable?) IDK.
3. I love it when Garcia does things. Except for the part where they're iPads because honestly she runs Linux-based software and should know better! Although I might get one too if I had government funding. Perks and all. You know how it is.
4. The running over the body thing made me shout. Literally. Ugh!

I'm sure it definitely makes any women who dance want to think twice about who they are dealing with.
I've noticed Emily being called a bitch on more than one occasion. Pretty hilarious actually. She's so badass. And what some of you were saying earlier about the whole bait thing...I don't see it that way either. I see it as, hey, all our men of the bau all agree that Prentiss can work it. That ain't sexist in my eyes. They have faith in her. Sure she's been in some scary situations, but who hasn't? It always seems that much more interesting for the show when one of our team is in the action.
I like Hotch as much as the next person, but the last several episodes have been super Hotch-centric with a little Prentiss & Garcia mixed in. I'd like to see more background with the members (like Hotch's Halloween with Jack) and more Morgan, Rossi & Reid!
Okay, there's a lot I enjoyed about this episode, including the first 35 minutes of Hotch's badassery, but am I the only one who had major issues with the way it was ultimately wrapped up?
