Rachel Confirms s7 Casting Spoilers

I'd like to take this opportunity to say that whether or not you loved/hated Ashley Seaver, Rachel Nichols as an actress is a human being who did not deserve to be sidelined liked this. She obviously loved her job and her co-workers, and is justifiably upset about this.

CBS pulled the same stunt with Rachel that they did with AJ and Paget last year. Please keep that in mind. CBS might have fixed one of the symptoms by bringing AJ and Paget back, but they have in no way solved the problem of treating their actresses as disposable.

If you can, please send Rachel some love on twitter.

But is that one per team? If she's the only female profiler in the entire bureau, then it would still be less than one percentage wise.

I'm not sure how it works in reality. I'm not sure if there even are "teams"... I think it's just one department of the FBI that operates out of Quantico.

The show has already taken a lot of liberties with how profilers act and do their job. There is no Behavioral Analysis Unit. So IMO, they can take creative license and put however many women in it that they want to.

Early promos for the show mentioned that there were twenty-something profilers in the BAU, only one of whom was female. Lola Glaudini made a very similar joke to the one I made above, in an interview :).

One amid twenty-something! So if we wanted to be strictly ~realistic~ our fictional BAU should have less than a fifth of a female profiler. (I was being silly about the numbers.)

There might be more, I really don't know. She's the most well-known female.

We'll just have a pair of legs walking around. You know, Prentiss is the only actual female profiler on the team anyway sans Seaver (I guess, I wouldn't consider her full fledged yet).
