I know they say that's how the business goes... But it's still a bit unsettling... I want her to be on the show because she wants to, not because she HAS to. Thoughts?
I think it's bull that they're still jerking her around. :/
I just want Paget to be happy with whatever she chooses to do.
And I adore her for being blunt and straight-forward about this whole mess--her past few tweets, and going back to her "financial reasons is bullshit" tweet from last summer.
And yet I was under the impression that the door was open IF she decided to come back after trying out her other show. But it figures that they basically must've given her an ultimatum. Like, we'll let you leave your contract and try the show but if it flops, you HAVE to come back.
I'm guessing that's probably exactly what happened. And then they blackballed her from ABC and CBS pilots (http://www.deadline.com/2011/02/paget-brewster-tests-sitcom-waters-as-fate-of-some-criminal-minds-actors-is-uncertain/) which severely limited her choices.
And the thing is, CBS looks like they ~learned from their mistakes~ if Paget hadn't said anything. But Paget doesn't screw around, and she tells things how they are, so it's just another example of the women on this show getting screwed with.
