Oh god, the lack of subject heading really sucks now that threads are collapsing.

If MGG don't renew his contract, I wouldn't be surprised - and I wouldn't blame him.

If the people running Criminal Minds don't want MGG to leave, they better be careful that when they are giving Reid storylines, that they don't make it too dark. I think as recently as last year, MGG said that he was a method actor (and it was Mandy who pointed it out to him two, those two still see each other, awwwwwwwwww).

...and then sometimes after that, MGG talked about how hard doing the show is for him sometimes, because he's a method actor, he stays in the character mindset after the episode shots, and only snaps out of it between seasons, and mention that stuff like this got so bad that Mandy left...

ETA: Oh oh oh, remember that thing about how people in the BAU don't date each other? If MGG doesn't renew, I sure as hell hope they don't kill him off, but that he does quit to work on another physics degree or something, and then marry him off to Emily m'kay?

I hadn't heard that about Matthew. Paget Brewster was also trained as a method actor - may well-known actors are, but not all of them choose to "immerse themselves" in the character, staying in character between takes and so on. Paget did talk once about "Demonology" being a rough episode for her because of Emily's distressed emotional state throughout. I'm surprised to hear that abou MGG, though, considering some of his antics on-set, like his "Unauthorized Documentary" series.

Re Matthew, if I were TPTB I think I'd be more concerned that his original ambition was to be a director, and he's probably looking to get back to that full-time at some point. Letting him direct the occasional episode has probably been a good decision. Does anyone know if he has directed/is going to direct any episodes this season?

Sorry if this post is a little rambling - my heads a tad disjointed this morning.
