I am with you there. I've been watching this season a bit slowly because I was assuming it would be the last. On one hand, this show has a unique feel and great characters so I don't want to lose it, but on the other I don't want to see it run into the ground.

The team's good like this, I would hate for them to have a replacement. It would be like Seaver, and we all know how well that turned out. It's big enough as it is; they should just work on who's here already.

Yeah, this reminds me of the last few seasons of the West Wing. There is something to be said about ending a show on a semi-high note. Maybe I am wrong and they'll find a way to make it exciting again.

I loved the first five seasons of West Wing, and about the same number of seasons for Criminal Minds. I must admit that I haven't watched any of the last two. (no cable/TV, not because of a lack of interest) Does it still merit another season or two or did it reach the 'Matt Santos' point that West Wing did?

I would say with Paget leaving it's comparable. If they lose another cast member I would say they have reached maximum WW status and not in the good way. :P

Considering that the ratings have been consistent for the past two-three seasons, why would you assume it's the last? With these numbers we've got at least two more seasons to go. More if there isn't a huge drop in ratings for some reason.

Really? I would've thought ratings would drop a little during the no-JJ/Emily fiasco. That's good though, I'm looking forward to seeing them.

I will say this, I was mad about the way the Emily/JJ fiasco was handled by CBS, and I did stop watching the show. Not because of the fiasco however. I moved and cancelled my television service. Had I kept my television service I would have continued to watch the show. I think CBS had the right idea that the male characters are in reality the favorite characters. I know they were mine at least. As long as that core group of Hotch, Morgan, and Reid is there (and I still had TV) I'd keep coming back.

I know I don't speak for everyone but that's my take on it.

Hmm, well, I continued watching too - but I need either JJ or Emily to watch; so the points where both were gone were the ultimate low and I barely watched the eps. I know a lot of people have that idea; they must stay for the lovely boys.
