Mr. Screech would have been a *very* different episode

This is the discussion post for Episode 10x21 - "Mr. Scratch". Watch out for SPOILERS in the comments.

I really liked this episode-- very creepy very psychologically driven story line. The end with Hotch thinking he killed his fellow BAUers was very creepy but i knew it was a hallucination. It is an interesting storyline but i wonder if these drugs really have that strong of a outcome to be able to make the victims hallucinate and kill their loved ones like that by strong suggestion.

I need to catch up on the prior episodes from past two weeks.

I loved this. So very creepy. And the first unsub I felt truly disturbed by in a long while. It didn't really matter that I knew the end with Hotch was him hallucinating; it was still creepy. I thought it was well done. And true, the thought flittered through my head that these drugs seem a little in the realm of "not possible," but it wasn't hard to dismiss thanks to the overall feel of the episode. My hubby had a small laugh at the line about the Harvard math geniuses who are so good at Math that they can only be hired by the gov't. Seems like a farfetched idea, as well.

But who cares? I hope we see this unsub again, and I think we will definitely see some results of Hotch's psychological tortue.

What an episode. I think it's the best script (even with the little unbelievability of some small points) in a long long while. And of course the directing. Once more I concur my pervious resolution that when MGG finally starts directing for big screen I'll be following his movies creations faithfully, because he's just such an awesome director. Seriously every single episode by him is my fav. Also I loved that it was Hotch centered episode too!

Also I loved that the unsub was not revealed till the end, that he managed to shake Quantico and that he was not killed. He was seriously a creepy one and hopefully we'll see more of him later on. I have a feeling it's a possibility for a Hotch focused storyline for next season. The actor who played the unsub did a marvelous job with the creepiness, it's been a long while since CM made me this giddy over a disturbing unsub, finally an episode that feels like old school for me.

The climax of the episode with the hallucinated killings of the team members was a captivating keeping you on toes sequence even if you did know it was a hallucinations hallucination. I loved this episode and I'm going to be rewatching it (a first for me in a long long while regarding new CM episodes)

While I'm not a fan of the creepy factor, at least Gube warned us (or at least if you follow him on twitter he did). What impressed me was Thomas... man, in terms of acting this was one of the best episodes in a while. Gube paid tribute to older school episodes and didn't show the unsub until towards the end!

Seriously loved this episode. So darn creepy!! I really felt bad for Hotch and I wonder what effect this will have on him in the long run.
