okay, new topic:

what sort of case would you like to see the CM team work next season, either because they haven't done something like this or because you think it's socially relevant/interesting/weird?

they've done so many kinds of cases, so it's hard for me to think. but i'm hopeful that the writers will continue to think of things. maybe a case involving stigmata or other religious elements they can't explain. correct me if they've done that.

I still think it would be interesting if one of the team is being stalked .... not like the Reaper, but a stalker who targets emergency responders and sees the team at the crime scene and starts stalking them. I know variations on the stalker case has been done, but still ..... The writers probably won't do this because it's similar to The Reaper and has been done recently...... still looking for fic of Morgan being stalked.

a possible haunting would be interesting. the show would never try to go real ghosty and all, but the idea of a haunted crime scene or something, just to add that extra something, would be cool.

I had a story I was writing once about a serial killer who kidnapped men and, before he murdered them, he dressed them up as women - the clothes, make-up and a wig. i'd love to see them do something like that.

Someone imitating a famous serial killer, like Ted Bundy or Jeffry Dahmer. And I mean immitation to a T. Something as brutal as what those two did would make for some great TV drama.

Also:
-A serial killer who targets famous people. Maybe it would explain why so many celebrities died in 2009 lol.
-Cannibalism, but the killer uses their dog as a partner in crime. Like, they make the animal help in their kills and parttake in the cannibalism.
-Chainsaw murderer!
-A massive school shooting and the guys have to go in and stop the kid before anything else bad happens.

Reid identifies with the neglected kids or kids who were picked on. I'm with you. I relate since I got bullied in middle school.

But I think it would be more interesting, though, if the kid was popular. Like, he/she is a classic sociopath that no one recognizes because no one thinks to make connections in that situation. Charming on the outside to manipulate others into liking them while menacing on the inside. I think that would make for an interesting case.

I actually find it weird that they haven't touched on school shootings in the show yet seeing as irl the BAU wrote and put out the guide to school shootings.

I agree that this would be interesting. We've only seen one female unsub who inflicted sexual abuse and that was the girl from 'The Perfect Storm'.

A female serial killer who doesn't kill for personal gain, but instead for sexual purposes. Like Jane Toppan. You rarely hear of female serial killers who kill for reasons other than personal gain.

Um, I will probably be in the minority here, and this will probably never happen, but after such an angsty and depressing season (as much as I love it), we need and episode where everyone just...goes crazy, or something. No case, just them, a deck of cards, and several bottles of tequila.

But yes, a lighthearted episode would be nice, but unlikely to happen. I think I'd just be satisfied with not seeing a BAU member in peril for one episode. I kind of miss the standalone-type eps from the early seasons.

I've been brewing up an idea that I believe would be awesome. and I think I may have mentioned this under my old screen name sleepysunshine

A serial cult killing (think Charles Manson and Helter Skelter) but the bodies would be dumped in an abandoned FBI building, and the authorities haven't noticed anything because the building is condemned. The body count near 100, one for each solstice.

Yeah, we have an abandoned FBI building in Charleston, and every time I pass by there, all I can think about is that would be an awesome body hiding spot

I've always had this idea of a guy who kidnaps women, keeps them in a basement and dresses them up as dolls. His goal is to create the perfect doll. His first victim was kidnapped 3 years ago and has been living in the basement eversince. Now the guy wants a second doll and starts kidnapping again. Of course, these women never wanna play along so they get killed and that's when the BAU gets called in.

Another idea would be a serial killer who targets pairs of people e.g couples, colleagues (e.g. cop partners), best friends, etc.. He kidnaps them and puts them through lots of cruel games to see how much their friendship really means to them before one of them will kill the other to survive. A bit Saw-ish but it would be interesting. Especially if two people from the BAU team end up in this messed up game.

I'd like to see something with ventriloquist dolls (kinda like Dead Silence) where the killer uses the dolls to freak out his victims (which are children) and then when he kills them, he turns them into ventriloquist dolls and sells them to his cult so they can play with them.
