Possible Criminal Minds fest?

Hi! I'm new to the Criminal Minds fandom, coming from the Harry Potter fandom which is freakin huge and I was discussing with a friend how many Harry Potter fanfiction/fanart fests there are in that fandom. I'm not sure if there are any Criminal Minds-specific fests (I do know that there were some CM prompts at slashfest, but only a few), and that got us talking about starting a fest.

So we asked the lovely mods if we could post a poll, just to see how many of you would be interested as well!

As an fyi, there is a BAU Big Bang that runs in the summer that accepts everything. If you end up running one, you might want to think about creating a theme specific or pairing specific big bang :)

The only kind of 'fest' I would be interested in seeing in CM fandom is a gen fic fest.

It would be cool to see a Big Bang fest that ran as a compliment/supplement to the main one. & I really like the idea calanthe_b had, to keep it gen fic only.

A couple of us are already writing CM-centric stories for the au_bigbang (off the top of my head, I can think of myself and carla_scribbles, melliyna and eternal_sadist, mcgarrygirl78, drasticbarbie, and st_aurafina, but there may be others), so while I'd love to help, all of my attention is focused on that right now.

melliyna also ran an unofficial Gen ficathon a while ago, and it was a pretty good hit. Another one would be fantastic.

There's a fest going at cm4_20, but that's specifically with the Reid/Adam(Amanda) specific pairing. I would love either a themed or gen CM fest. I don't think I'd ever be able to participate in a Big Bang, though. :P

Ah! I'm so glad someone has brought this up! I've been itching to see if anyone would be half-way interested in another CM fest.

I was thinking maybe something like: reel_merlin in which all the fanworks are at the very least inspired by a movie. Or maybe tobreakthespell where authors are inspired by a fairytale [a bit of a stretch for this community, I know].

So yeah, I'm pretty much interested in everything. ^__^

I think a CM story based on The Six Swans would be pretty cute and sweet. Maybe with Garcia as the one saving her siblings [the rest of the BAU team].
