Garcia's parents

Hi guys!

I'm hoping to get some help here. I joined a challenge for the vampire big bang. And well I'm pretty the only one who decided to do Criminal Minds.

Anyways! I was hoping that I could have some help piecing together Garcia's past? It seems a little bit fuzzy. I know that her parents died when she was eighteen in a car accident. That she went CalTech and went off the grid. But they didn't mention her parents names right?  

I'm trying to figure out where I am with creative freedom but at the same time with keeping to canon. Because I'm already messing up a large part of it.. Canon that is. (Reid's the vampire so... yeah.)

So much obliged with any help that you can give me. I hope this is okay to post here. If not then I'm sorry. 

(And does anyone know where I can find someone to beta this for me?)

That's pretty much all that's said about her parents although she does at one point tell JJ she had four brothers (in the episode with the child trafficking--that's how they ended up identifying the boy. She recognized his boy-scout type uniform).

OH OH OH! And in the episode where it comes out that Will and JJ are dating, she states that Garcia is her stepfathers' last name, which sort of leaves us to believe that her bio father is out of the picture and her "parents" must be her mother and stepfather and he's adopted her and/or she changed her name to his legally.

Lol I made a comment earlier saying Twilight would of probably been better if MGG had been in it. Not by much though XD. He would make a pretty vampire.

She has four brothers (who she's presumably not in contact with?), her parents died in a car accident when she was 18 - I got the impression she was already at CalTech when they died and went underground shortly after that. Sometime after she was caught by the FBI and coerced into working for them. In the flashback ep it seems like she started working with the BAU about a year before the show started (although it's not clear if that's when she joined the FBI or just when she started working with the BAU). She also mentions that Garcia is her stepfather's last name, but it's not clear when she says her parents died whether she's referring to her dad and mom or mom and stepdad. That's all I've managed to get so far - I really like Garcia and hope to write some fic playing with her backstory so I've tried to collect as much info as possible.
