The show has only filmed outside of LA with the main cast twice (according to some interiew Shemar did this spring...hell if I can remember). The alaska ep was filmed in Frazier Park up near Porterville, and the crossover ep...half that was filmed in San Francisco.
Even the season 2 ep in idaho was shot in LA, lost of spliced footage, which actually isn't cheap either.
