If I was a criminal, I'd be... Umm...someone doing it out of medical curiosity, like studying people with unusual ailments or anatomy. Maybe with poison.
I may or may not have already posted an introduction, but I figured I'd post it again and introduce myself to everyone again...because I could really use some help. You know how some women get like "baby brain" when they get pregnant/when they have babies in the house? Well, I happen to live in a dayhome with six babies every day...so I have my own version of "baby brain". Anyway, the point is...that has severly damaged my ability to write.
So, I could really really use someone to sort of bat ideas back and forth with and help me...I don't even know. (Is it bad that I can't even write this?) I need like a sounding board or a thought organizer or something. Not really a beta, but sort of along those lines.

If I was a criminal, I would be... I'd be a serial killer. But I think that I'd be short-lived -- I'm prone to overthinking things, and I'm horrible when my plans for anything are thrown off. Any profiler, hell, any cop worth their salt would get me within a week after they connect the crimes.
So, uhm, yeah. I'm participating over at
crimeland (if you've not heard, it's a competition community where members are divided into four teams, and challenges are posted, and each team tries to get the most points within a given "case." We're on case six. I only started watching CM a year ago, but I quickly fell in love with the fantastic characters and the smart, smart writing. When I heard A.J. Cook was being let go, I wanted to stop watching entirely. But JJ's goodbye episode was wonderful and a real tearjerker, and it sucked me back in. At least I still have Emily for now, and more Garcia. CM is still a good show and I hope I'll warm up to Seaver... though she'll never replace JJ in my heart.
I ship Hotch/JJ a little, but I actually like all the canon pairings--in small helpings. For CM fic, I prefer gen over het/slash. (In most of my other fandoms, however, I'm primarily a slasher. I've also written slash, het, and gen.)
If you guys have fic recs for plot-driven gen or plot-driven anything (except Reid-slash, sorry), please hook me up! I've been jonesing for good casefile fic!

:D Hi guys. I just got into Criminal Minds a little over a year ago, but I really dove into it about four months ago after putting it off and being busy with other things that I shan't discuss. (Unless you want to hear it.)
Also, I was just curious, but... does anyone on here role-play or USE Twitter? Just wondering, because yesterday I took the liberty of converting an old account that had a lot of bad memories-- into a new one for a certain Unit Chief. Since I write fan fiction, I figured this could be a way to try and get into his head, and as such, maybe roleplay with some other people here.

:D Hi guys. I just got into Criminal Minds a little over a year ago, but I really dove into it about four months ago after putting it off and being busy with other things that I shan't discuss. (Unless you want to hear it.)
Also, I was just curious, but... does anyone on here role-play or USE Twitter? Just wondering, because yesterday I took the liberty of converting an old account that had a lot of bad memories-- into a new one for a certain Unit Chief. Since I write fan fiction, I figured this could be a way to try and get into his head, and as such, maybe roleplay with some other people here.

I would like to say this community is amazing and the people here are really cool. I've been watching [stalking--I have an issue with stalking ;) lol] this community for a long while now and it always makes me happy when I read the discussion posts and see the talents presented here...(i.e. icons...) I always smile when there is a new post. And after finally getting the nerve (I'm horrible self-conscious) I thought I would introduce myself and bring up a question I had about the timeline of the show.
I'm sorry if this question has been asked; I went through the tags and didn't spot it. If I missed it could someone direct me to it please?
I'm writing a fanfiction story and would like to stay as faithful to the show as possible. Is there an established timeline for the show? I've been doing some math and I have come up with vast years, dates, etc...Does anyone have any theories about when the show takes place? Like what years each season takes place? I've spent so much time trying to figure this out and decided I should come here to the experts. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!
