scrollgirl says hello!
Jan. 17th, 2011 04:43 amI decided to tweak the intro profile a little, just for fun. *g*
Name:
scrollgirl
Fandom Age: 10ish. I joined my first posting board in 2000-2001, then LJ in 2003.
Fannish Location: Crossposting between Dreamwidth and LiveJournal.
Favourite Fandoms: Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and (recently) Harry Potter.
Shows I'm Watching: Criminal Minds, Castle, due South. I'm reading fic for CM and dS, though I haven't become quite as fannish about them as I am about SG-1/SGA.
Favourite Quote: "Experience: that most brutal of teachers. But you learn, my God do you learn." ~ C.S. Lewis. In the tag for "Risky Business" (5x13), JJ paraphrases the quote slightly: "Experience is a brutal teacher. But you learn, my God do you learn." *cuddles JJ* *cuddles Hotch*
Favourite Characters: JJ, Prentiss, Hotch. But I love them all, really. (I've only seen one ep with Seaver in it, so I'm reserving judgment.)
If I was a criminal, I'd be... a cereal killer. Heh.
I only started watching CM a year ago, but I quickly fell in love with the fantastic characters and the smart, smart writing. When I heard A.J. Cook was being let go, I wanted to stop watching entirely. But JJ's goodbye episode was wonderful and a real tearjerker, and it sucked me back in. At least I still have Emily for now, and more Garcia. CM is still a good show and I hope I'll warm up to Seaver... though she'll never replace JJ in my heart.
I ship Hotch/JJ a little, but I actually like all the canon pairings--in small helpings. For CM fic, I prefer gen over het/slash. (In most of my other fandoms, however, I'm primarily a slasher. I've also written slash, het, and gen.)
If you guys have fic recs for plot-driven gen or plot-driven anything (except Reid-slash, sorry), please hook me up! I've been jonesing for good casefile fic!
