I personally think that the departure of Elle and Gideon is different, because both actors wanted to leave the show, with AJ and Paget is a completely different story, because they were fired from one moment to another and without any good reason. I think that if AJ or Paget had decided to leave the show things would have been completely different. Yes, the fans would have been sad, but we would understand it was a choice of them.
