I don't really understand the idea of "Prentiss can't come back after what she did" or "How are they going to write themselves out of this one", tbh. She did what she did before she was even in the BAU. She didn't ask Doyle to escape or come after her, and everything she did from that point on was to keep her team safe from him. And the amount of drama that would come from her faking her death, and Hotch/JJ knowing about it--that's damn good television if they pull it off right (as in...fire the one-off writers). It would be a great arc to see this totally shatter the team as a family and see how they come back from it.
idk maybe I look too optimistically at all of this.
Anyway, I'm glad there's an opportunity for Paget to come back, but I am sorry that her pilot didn't work out. I kind of wish the rest of the cast would not comment until she makes her final decision, though, tbh.
