Hotch was totally adorable, and she is an awesome stalker! I love that she saw this hot guy around the park/gym and made sure she was totally prepared before she made her approach. I like that level of forethought and organization.

I feel like this episode has laid out all the ways in which my own picking-guys-up-at-the-gym technique has been lacking.

Hotch was adorkable in his interactions with the bicycle woman.

There was an awesome Garcia moment when she was quizzing Rossi about whether Hotch had a new girlfriend and the rest of the team started talking about how long it takes widowed people to move on. (But weren't Hotch and Haley divorced? He wouldn't be a widower then) and then she's like "He's standing right there, isn't he?" There was another awesome Garcia moment when she started talking about the Rocky movies and Hotch said, "Penelope," sternly.

I loved that airplane scene! And that last bit where Hotch threw JJ a look, got a chuckle out of me.

Well, they've never felt 'divorced' to me. They still loved each other till the end. Plus, I think I saw Hotch wearing his ring after the divorce/her death.

Although I do like the awkwardable Hotch/Beth moments (and rooting for Hotch to get laid), I'm suspicious of her.

Who brings their namecards along on their jogs? The cards were not in a wallet but tucked in her arm band. There's limited space in there and name cards are not necessary.

Either she's a spy or a daughter of a recently-dead unsub. /calling it

I agree! I totally thought it was going to be another plot like the one where Garcia got shot. The whole thing seemed like a set up to me.

i don't really see th eromantic interest going much further than a couple episodes, but she is a lovely lady. i just don't see the potential there, at least no tyet.

Oh, Hotch. I was in tears when he gave that "go be a father" speech. But Romantic Interest Lady is kind of... not terribly likable. And she doesn't have any chemistry with Hotch, which I thought was damn near impossible.

Also, Hotch, honey, if you want to date her, don't profile her.

I didn't get Rossi's comment about "You know what they say about riding a bicycle."

My first thought was "Well, it makes your crotch numb.", which seems like the opposite of what he was getting at. It felt like a wink-wink-nudge-nudge comment.

Anyone enlighten me?

Thoughts on Rewatching

"I saw the suit. What else could you be?" *lol* ...while I was stalking admiring you and waiting for a chance to use that opening line I've been practicing.

I hope they don't get too soapish with the Beth arc, but I definitely bought her as a potential connection for Hotch. Took me a minute to recognize Bellamy Young, though - I'm used to seeing her with blond hair.

And Rossi totally went from Old School to High School in less than a second.

I liked the kids speculating about Mom's dating life, even if the Garcia bit was a little too NCIS for me. And I loved the amused little glance between Hotch and JJ.

I'm thinking Hotch found that crime scene a little triggery; I doubt that he needed an ME report to tell him that the victims had been beaten to death with someone's bare hands... and there was Reid nattering on about the after effects of a "strenuous killing" while Hotch is looking anywhere but at the bodies.

The plot was a little 'meh' - it felt like one long PSA for pugilistic dementia or CTE or whatever we're calling it - but I don't watch for the plots at this point anyway. The team seemed to be close to its old self, which made me happy. I was a little bothered, though, that the victims were just props and we didn't get any looks at the effect of the crimes on the victims' families - that used to be a lynchpin of the trauma theme.

Oh, yeah. And one nomination for World's Most Clueless Pediatric Oncologist!
