it was wrapped up very neatly and that wonderful scene about family at the end would have been a fitting final moment. I'm glad there is a season 9 to come but I could have lived with this kind of ending because ultimately it was about the living and not the dead. Very appropriate.
Amen to that. I've never been a fan of cliffhanger season finales because they always feel like a letdown for me. It's bad enough over a summer break but ten times worse if a series doesn't get picked up for a new season. I love how they wrapped up both S7 and S8 neatly with a family celecration at Rossi's place. I'd love them to make this a tradition to have every season end in that way.
