I don't think I can pick one favourite episode, but a few of them are: Machismo, LDSK, The Fisher King 1+2, The Last Word, Sex, Birth, Death, Revelations, Jones, Elephant's Memory, Minimal Loss, ... And I think season 2 and 3 are definitely the seasons I enjoy the most overall. The way they focused more on the psychology and evolution of the UnSubs and then the negotiations pulled me in.
I think the one that terrified me the most was Revelations and the one that bothered me the most was the one in which Haley died, not just because you knew right from the start that it would end badly and her goodbye to Hotch was super heartbreaking but also because the way they framed the narrative around his character really started bothering me around that time. (Plus, it started the whole trend of killing off female love interests for maximum ~manpain~ etc.)
