Ugh... The Replicator... I hated last season. I almost quit watching the show for good because of season 8.
I *hope* that the writing staff are smart about what happens next. I honestly think that this show has just one last season in it - if they do it right, it could be a very satisfying wrap-up for everyone. This isn't a franchise Like Law & Order which lasted for 25 years on air because it had a tradition of rotating characters and the audiences got used to actors leaving the series. If a few of the principle actors refuse to come back after their contracts are up (which is rumored), this show would be hard pressed to continue without them. In truth, I'd like to see this show end with satisfaction and dignity rather than it limp along with patchwork casting and inconsistent writing.
