So, originally this post was going to be a picspam of my Top 5 Favorite Montage/Ending Scenes, but then I decided that since this scene was always going to be my number one favorite of the top five that it totally deserved to own a picspam all its own. Because, seriously it's definitely one of my favorite ending montage's for an episode of a show that I've ever watched, and because I really loved the voice-over. It was amazing.

Besides, I've been wanting to put together a picspam for Criminal Minds anyway, and this gave me the perfect oppurtunity. Expect more picspams for it, too. 'Cause, I've been gathering various caps of Reid and Morgan/Garcia, and will be putting those together as well. But, for now, enjoy. :P

Sometimes there are no words, no clever quotes to neatly sum up what's happened that day. Sometimes, you do everything right. Everything exactly right and still you feel like you've failed.

Did it need to end that way? Could something have been done to prevent the tragedy in the first place?

Eighty-nine murders at the pig farm. The deaths of Mason and Lucas Turner make ninety-one lives snuffed out. Kelly Shane will go home and try to recover. To reconnect with her family but she will never be a child again. William Hightower who gave his leg for his country gave the rest of himself to avenge his sisters' murder. That makes ninety-three lives forever altered. Not counting family and friends and a small town, Sarnia, Ontario who thought monsters didn't exist until they learned that they spent their lives with one. And what about my team, how many more times will they be able to look into the Abyss? How many more times before they won't ever recover the pieces of themselves that this job takes?

Like I said, sometimes there are no words, no clever quotes to neatly sum up what's happened that day. Sometimes the day just ends.

Total SPOILERS for the S4 finale of Criminal Minds, if you have not seen it yet. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up. Oh, and credit for the coloring that I tweaked a bit to make it work for the caps (even though, the ones in that last graphic didn't come out as well, as I hoped they would...grr) goes to verogeller and for the caps dj_capslock, which is totes awesomesauce in the caps department.

Reid: They are PhD's. Three of them.
Heather’s Brother: Are you a genius or something?
Reid: I don’t believe that intelligence can be accurately quantified, but I do have an IQ of 187, an eidetic memory and can read 20,000 words per minute. [Gets a weird look.] Yes, I’m a genius.
