Ah,m but here's the thing: Foyet had already stabbed himself in exactly the same way, so he had a rough estimate of exactly how long he'd have before the situation would become critical. I know everyone is different physiologically, but Hotch and the Reaper are about the same size/body type, so it's not impossible that the Reaper could have planned in time to rape Hotch, especially if that had always been his intent (to prove the profilers wrong that stabbing was always essentially a stand in for sex for those incapable of performing). Not only do I think it possible, I think it highly likely that Hotch was raped, based on Foyet's monologue. Why would he go on and on about how wrong the FIB is to insist that people who stab are impotent, unless he was taking real, physical steps to prove that he, at least, was not/i> impotent?
