I wanted to love Rossi for his whole "trust Hotch" thing, but I'm not sure it's the best policy right now.
I mean, last time the team waited for one of their team members to deal with things on his own, it took Reid a WHILE to get clean... just saying, Morgan knows this team's experience with letting them try stuff alone, and it isn't exactly sterling (see also, Morgan in "Profiler, Profiled" Prentiss in "Demonology" and others).
