As expected, after seeing how Jordan went by the wayside, it appears that Morgan strikes out yet again...
Will we ever see Morgan's love interest again on Criminal Minds? It appears the show has dropped the storyline. — Diane
ADAM: It appears that way because that's exactly what happened. Between Salli Richardson-Whitfield's work on Eureka and the basic premise of the show, Tamara's return is unlikely. "Because we travel all the time, it's tough to have our characters at home and look at their personal lives," executive producer Chris Mundy tells us. "That was the issue. I don't think we'll see her again." source
It isn't that I wanted Tamara to work out as much as I'd like for the show to follow through on a storyline and not just assume the fans figured it out.

I agree, an ending to the storyline would have been nice.

I didn't like Tamara, some closure on the storyline would have been better but I'm not complaining haha.

Yeah, and as much as I didn't like Tamara, I'm scared that this seems to indicate that the lack of character development and all those special little moments between the intense stuff aren't just gone for the mid-season slump...they never had any problems with time and personal lives and all that in the earlier seasons...you guys don't think this means it will only be about the cases from now on, do you? I hope not!

That's dumb. I don't have any interest in the Morgan/Tamara relationship, but if the writers really feel that way about bringing personal relationships into the show, why did they start that storyline in the first place? I mean, yeah she had her episode where she was involved with the case, but then they went to the trouble to bring her back.

I hate random OC's with characters anyways, so I don't mind.

Yes. :( This season has been lacking since "100" in that regard. Woe.

Completely agree. The show seems to have been lackluster since that ep and I had figured it was just mid-season slump, but with this news I'm starting to feel cynical about that.

I had completely forgotten about here, in all honesty. But sometimes I forget about JJ having Will and Henry. While I wouldn't mind seeing more of their personal lives, I think the show works fine without it.

They shouldn't have started it then. That's bad writing and nothing else.

Yeah...why go to the stadium if you're not gonna play some ball? Should have left it alone. They should just give all the characters a bunch of cats and knitting needles, though I doubt they even have time for that. So sad.

Oh yeah, I sorta wondered what happened to her. Especially since the writers actually bothered to bring her back and have Garcia act all upset about Morgan continuing to see her.

I didn't like the Morgan/Tamara relationship but it's still pretty dumb that they made so much effort to write it in and then not give it a proper ending.

ITA

The show's been pretty lackluster since "Slave of Duty" IMO (I was so looking forward to the JJ ep and I was like... that's it? It seems that all they know how to do with her is have her be empathetic and nurturing/motherly and it's getting really one-note, but that is a rant for another time). The episodes feel kind of... idk generic lately. What elevated CM above most other crime shows for me is the uniqueness of the characters and team dynamic, and that seems to be missing from the latest eps.

I'm trying not to be cynical and assume that the creators/writers are busy playing with the sequel and it's Whedon syndrome all over again, but... I'm really starting to wonder if this is indeed the case.

Just put him with Garcia. The writers have completely dropped the ball with that... we barely even see their friendship now. sigh.

When it comes to the personal lives of the CM characters, less is just fine with me. I never considered Tamara a love interest for Morgan so I never gave her return any thought.
