I felt the need to watch Amplification today and went on YouTube to see if I could find it. Well, I did. Sorta. I came across the Spanish dub for it.
Can we discuss how absolutely awkward this is?
Maybe its just because I'm used to it in English and can't imagine any of the actors fluently speaking Spanish in voices that aren't their own. But yeah. Plus, I feel like they could've picked way better voice actors than this. All of them sound way older than they really are except Reid; he sounds like the cross between a kid and someone talking with their nose plugged.
Otherwise, I would say this is pretty neato. *kanyeshrug*

Date: Mar. 31st, 2010 06:14 am (UTC)I'm from Mexico and I find Spain's accent very strange, but still Reid's voice sounds like somene much younger. Those actors are not so good for their characters. Original voices are way better.... Also, their voices in latin version sound strange too. >_

Date: Mar. 31st, 2010 08:51 am (UTC)Fortunately, more and more networks are offering the possibility to watch the shows in their original version but it's a long way until dubbed versions stop being the popular choice; ppl still prefer not to "read the subtitles". *sighs*

I would want to cry everytime that they open their mouth to speak XD (indeed before to go to bed I watch the same episode in english because I need to listen the original voices XD)
