Summary: The BAU teams goes to LA to help the team from NUMB3RS to solve a case involving murder and kidnappings. When they return to the only place they feel safe only to find that safety shaken.

Chapter 8

Tori closed her phone then walked toward the bathroom. Tori laid her phone on the top of the dresser as she walked into the bathroom. After she entered the bathroom, Tori dropped her gown and robe to the floor.

“Handsome, do you need some help washing your back?”

“Well there is that one spot I can never reach.”

“Then scoot over.”

As Tori stepped into the shower with Spencer, they leaned in to kiss each other. Tori picked up the wash cloth and began to wash his chest. After she washed his chest and back, Tori reached up and ran her hands through his hair to get it wet. As they finished their shower, Spencer stepped out of the shower, then reached out to help Tori from the shower. He then wrapped a towel around her and began to dry her off.

“Did you get everything lined up with the range?”

“Yep, we are all set for Monday morning.”

“That’s good.”

“I also managed to get the ranged reserved for the refresher course. So it has been a very productive morning for me.”

“Same for me, but I do need to make one more call before we head to the store.”

“I have an idea then why don’t you make that call, while I go and check out what other groceries we need from the store?”

Tori kissed Spencer on the way out of the bedroom. Spencer finished dressing then grabbed both phones, pocketed Tori’s, and opened his phone. As Spencer dialed his phone, as he dropped onto the sofa.

“Jareau.”

“Hey JJ, it’s Spencer. How is the family doing?”

“Hey Spencer, they’re good. Will just gave me the morning off as a mom, he took Henry sledding at the park.”

“That sounds like fun to me. I was wondering if you would be willing to join a friend and me for dinner?”

“What’s the occasion?”

“Oh nothing too special, I just want to introduce a special person to you.”

“Well, that seems like something pretty special. Is this something we can bring Henry to?”

“Of course, my godson gets to meet this person, too. Plus Aaron is bringing Jack. We are going to have soup and
sandwiches for the adults. We were also going to make a box or mac ‘n’ cheese for Jack. Henry is welcome to either one or if there is something he would rather have, then we can make it for him.”

“That isn’t necessary, Henry likes anything Jack likes I get the feeling that Henry thinks Jack is his best friend or a big brother. We will be there. Can we bring anything?”

“Would you bring some dessert?”

“We could handle that. What time are you telling everyone?”

“We are telling everyone five o’clock. I’m sending out an e-mail this afternoon with the address and directions.”

“We will be there. See you tomorrow, Spence.”

“See you tomorrow, JJ.”

“Oh, and Spence?”

“Yeah, JJ”

“Congratulations, she must be pretty special.”

“Oh, she is.”

He hung up his phone, Spencer pushed off of the sofa and headed to the kitchen. Spencer sat down at the table as Tori looked into the cupboard then wrote something on her list.

“So how did it go?”

“They are all coming. They are very curious to see who I want them to meet. Plus JJ gave me her congrats already.”

“Really? We should count so we know how many to cook for.”

“There are eleven of them and the two of us.”

“So there will be thirteen all together. We should get going to the store so we can get home.”
