Summary: The BAU teams goes to LA to help the team from NUMB3RS to solve a case involving murder and kidnappings. When they return to the only place they feel safe only to find that safety shaken.

Chapter 10

Her announcement was met with silence.

“Ian, talk to me. I want to know what you think. Ian, you’re my best friend, talk to me, please.”

“Tori, calm down.”

“How can I do that, when the only family I have won’t tell me what he thinks about major change in my life?”

“Oh, Tori,” said Ian as he gathered her into hug. “Are you sure this is what you want? Does he make you happy?”

“Yes to both. I feel totally at easy, comfortable and safe with him.”

“I can see that now. As long as you are happy and he treats you right, I’m happy for both you. I'm going to have a little chat with him, though."

“Thank you, Ian.”

“Your welcome, I’m going to go get what the others brought. Then, I’ll be back.”

As Ian returned to the living room as Spencer returned from putting the coats away.

“OK, I guess I should introduce everyone that’s in here. This is Special Agent Ian Edgerton, sniper and tracker working out of the LA field office.”

“In my free time, I also teach at Quantico.”

“Ian, you met Aaron and Jack already. This is Penelope Garcia, our technical genius and Kevin Lynch, her other half. Then these three are Supervisory Special Agents David Rossi, Derek Morgan, and Emily Prentiss. Then this is Jennifer Jareau, our media liaison, and her family William L Montagne Jr. and their son Henry, he is also my godson.”

“Nice to meet you all. I’m going to take this into the kitchen. Spencer can you help me please?”

“Yeah, sure no problem.”

Ian and Spencer walked into the kitchen taking what the team brought to put it away. Ian headed back into the living room as Spencer walked up behind Tori and gave her a hug.

“How is everything coming?”

“I think we just need to set everything out then we can eat. Can I talk to you real quick first?”

“Yeah, what’s up?”

“You upset Ian earlier. He was mad at you because he felt like you ordered him around.”

“I’m sorry; I didn’t mean to upset him. I can apologize to him later.”

“OK and I think he wants to talk to you, too. But that can wait until after dinner. Let’s get everything out, then you can introduce me to your friends.”

“Sounds like a plan to me.”

Tori and Spencer laid out dinner in buffet style, Ian returned to the living room.

“So, Ian, what are you doing here right now?”

“I am up for recertification on my sniper license and so is good friend. We both had the time this week, so I flew out.”

“How long have you known Reid?” asked Derek.

“Not real long, but he seems like nice guy.” Ian answered as he to notices weird looks from Spencer’s friends.

“Supper is ready but before we eat, I want you all to meet Tori. Aaron, David, Penelope, Kevin, Emily, Derek, JJ, and Will, this is Tori Eppes, my girlfriend. Tori my teammates and friends.”

“It is very nice to meet you all. If no one minds I would like to learn more about you all at dinner, as I’m sure you want to learn more about me. So let me tell you what we have to eat tonight. I made chili and chicken tortilla soup. We have peanut butter, ham, roast beef, and chicken for sandwiches. Several drink choices are available. Oh, Silly me I almost forgot we are also offering a delicious mac’n’cheese. If you want or need something else, or need something different to eat just ask, if I have it available I will get it for you or just tell you I don’t have it. Aaron, JJ, Will why don’t you three go ahead and get Jack and Henry and yourselves plates, then the rest of us can go through.”
