2.12 - "Profiler, Profiled" Episode Discussion Post

This is the new episode post for tonight's episode, "Profiler, Profiled." I realize this is early, but I thought maybe the excitement is mounting during the day! For those of you who are unfamiliar with the system, simply comment to this post with any random squee or insight you may have regarding the episode in order to cut down on posts about the same thing over and over in the community. I just want to post this, because I’m so glad to be seeing him after so long.

But Skipp Sudduth ( http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0837175/ ) portrays the arresting officer in tonight’s episode – and for those of you who can’t place him?

That’s our beloved “Off. John ‘Sully’ Sullivan” from Third Watch. It’s been since 2005 since I’ve seen him, maybe longer – I didn’t want much of the final season.

On the whole, I’m major-league excited tonight, a mix of the good and the bad kind of excitement, but… for the record this isn’t the first time one of their own has been in trouble.

Hopefully it does not end up in a similar matter tonight. I love Morgan.

Anyways..I cant wait for later. As long as I get this essay done before hand its all good.

Does anyone else think that Morgan was abused as a child, or witnessed it (I think Hotch did too, but that one is more obvious)?

i dont get that from either character. Morgan most likely was brought up in a lower class neighborhood. He has a lot of obvious street smarts. Hotch is more of the upper middle class child probably had an alcholic limited involved mother and over working father.

Hotch more or less says he was, in the first season ep where he says "Some grow up to catch killers" (or words to that effect. I'm misquoting.)

There's an ongoing thing I've noticed (and loved) where everybody on the team could have gone the other way. Hotch with the implied history of abuse, Gideon's obviously got some kind of PTSD (Well, we know he does, but I suspect there's something older too), Garcia's hacker background ("You're on a list."), Reid's family history of mental illness, and now what we've learned about Derek.

I'm sure something will come up about JJ and the new girl.

The title of the show, Criminal Minds, is a double entendre....

That whole episode I was plastered to the side of the tv huging it.
Morgan really looked like he needed it.
I think that might have been one of the best episodes yet, and it was the first Morgan centric ones right?
I think this is the beginning of a new obsesstion...o no^^
I'm going to go finish crying now.

Especially after Hotch's comment about lift off (or whatever he said); Hotch smiled and the smile on Reid's face? OMG SQUEE!! Made up for the lackage in the rest of the show...which I actually didn't notice because Morgan's story was so interesting.

"Physics/magic" was the best part of the episode, for me.

Shemar Moore is an outstanding actor, and I thought he was completely amazing in this episode, but I just didn't like it. I'm still not sure quite why.

My heart broke, I picked it up as soon as he said secretes that he didn't want anyone else to know *sniffflesss* Reid was postivity adorable for the first bit.

Garcia looked so hurt that she didn't know about Derek's past, def. somthing going on between *pokes the bunnies back in ther cages*

I love physics magic. Reid is absolutely adorable.

I felt so bad for Morgan..I knew before anything was said what had happened but I still feel terrible.

yeah, i knew most because of the spoilers i had so itwasn't a big surprise. but the begginning since there was no casting there were no sides lol. it was so cute. the girls with him and him being all excited about the magic ahahaha. adorable. i love him.

I love him too..if I was a character on that show I would definately be one of those people hovering around him. Haha you dont have to be a nerd to enjoy physics magic..you just need one to perform it. I honestly have never met a fan of the show who said they dont like Reid..he is just too cute.

Hahaha it was almost as cute when the girls screamed when his "magic" went flying through the hair. aw man, i love garcia and jj as much as i love reid. i think i watched that scene 298459598569 times. the rewind key got tired.

Yeah, Reid's the most loved character. it's funny. bet MGG didn't expect that much loving.

Haha if the rewind key had a mind of its own it would probably be plotting its revenge against you just because you have used and abused it so much in one shot.

I love garcia and jj as well..I dont think the show would be quite the same as her.

Even if MGG didnt expect that much loving they made a really good desicion in writing his character in. Everytime I see him I just want to hug him.
