Vid Title: Butterfly to Wasp
Warnings: This vid contains annoyance at Hotch, a sympathetic portrayal of a female love interest, spoilers through end of the Foyet arc in season 5, and possible over-use of slow-mo. All this to say: this is a vid about Haley Hotchner.
Summary: I would love so much, to miss you.
Notes: This was originally posted for 3 weeks of dreamwidth on my DW journal. Be warned, that post has vehement airings of My Opinions! Anyway, the vid was made because I like Haley and was upset about some of the things I've seen people say about her.

Haha yeah. I think the show, however much it doesn't hold him accountable, also doesn't touch on the issues unless it feels like it, so it's hard for the show to really have the same continuity that is needed to actually deal with and hold Hotch accountable, but fans are a whole different matter. Haley doesn't deserve to dragged through the mud for the issues in her relationship more than Hotch. They both had justifications for their actions and decisions that are perfectly acceptable, though perhaps not the best, but because the audience see more of Hotch, the fans have piled the blame on Haley, blame that should be shared. Before Foyet, yes, I definitely think Haley got the tougher end of their relationship.

Sorry for rambling, but usually Haley gets so much hate. Thanks so much for the video and also for introducing me to such a beautiful song! ♥

No worries about rambling! I ramble quite a bit myself and, to be honest, one of the best things about making this vid has been hearing how other people are weary of how Haley is treated in fandom. It makes me feel less alone for liking her!

And, re: the song, I feel I should warn you, if you haven't already found the original version, I did a *lot* of editing and rearranging. The actual version is lovely and awesome and you should check it out, but I don't want you to get all confused when the verses are in the wrong order and the choruses are much longer!

It's always good to know that you're not alone. Sometimes when I read something with Haley hate, I can't read on.

I have found the original version and it is beautiful! I now have it on my iPod so I can listen to it on repeat. ♥
