  1. Does anyone know exactly what Agent Anderson's portfolio is? Would Hotch be his supervisor to any extent? I'm guessing Hotch's rank and general "Hotchness" is more than enough to inspire deference.
  2. What other divisions might be housed in that building?
  3. Does anyone remember the episode in which Garcia first accompanied the team on the jet?
  4. Does anyone ever wish Reid would walk into the bullpen and say, "I've been down in the basement where the X-Files offices used to be; have you guys ever heard the rumours about that division?"

X-Files weren't in Quantico, they were in the Hoover building in DC :P

I think Mulder would condone that!

Thank you for helping to feed my Alien!Reid plot bunny. I love you a little bit right now. There's no reason why Mulder couldn't be visiting Quantico, right?

It's a fic where Reid is an alien. I don't think Mulder visiting is too much of a stretch. ;)

And now I want Time Traveling!Reid. (Time Lord!Reid? O.o)

This really makes me wish that I knew enough about X-Files to write a crossover, because that would be perfect. XD As it is, I'll just have to settle for the cameo I gave Mulder in my Alien!Reid fic.

I believe it was Lo Fi when Garcia first flew with the team. I want Reid to walk into the bullpen one day and introduce his girlfriend :).

No problem..yeah, I want to see Reid happy with a woman who loves him and who he loves. Don't want to think of him with a guy. I think he and Emily might work well :). I think he'd have been cute with Lila but they yanked them apart like they were on fire !! :(. I also want to know when Garcia and Morgan are gonna go for it !!! ;)

Prentiss also understands him a bit more than some of the others. I liked the ep when she challenged him and he snapped at her !. I like Rossi but he's like..dad.. ewwww :P. I don't see him with ANYONE of the team. Maybe a future contact on a case that doesn't know about his reputation ;)

2. According to http://www.fbi.gov/hq/td/academy/academy.htm, the complex at Quantico houses many other kinds of training (besides just the Academy) as well as the FBI Library, the Behavioral Science Unit (whose relationship with the BAU is hard to decipher - see http://www.fbi.gov/hq/isd/cirg/ncavc.htm and http://www.fbi.gov/hq/td/academy/bsu/bsu.htm), the Futures Working Group (a collaboration between the Society of Police Futurists and the FBI, in which the BSU is also involved), the office of Technology, Research, and Curriculum Development (which leads four programs: The Curriculum Development and Evaluation Unit, the Distance Learning Technology Unit, the Virtual Academy Unit, and the FBI Library).

I keep trying to get a definitive answer on the real-world location of the BAU offices, but the website is darned fuzzy. Much complicated by the BAU having once been the BSU, before the BSU divided into the two more specialized units. The BSU is definitely part of the Quantico complex, though. (And Mulder, we learned from various X-Files references, was a BSU agent, back before the units did their cell-mitosis trick.)

[Dear heaven, woman, quit exposing your TV geekitude.]

Aw, heck, I should just phone the public info officer in the local field office and ask. But that would take the mystery out of it...

It's canon in the show that the main office is at Quantico (and in RL the BSU is still at Quantico), but I couldn't find -anything- about the real BAU office. Crazy frustrating!

Isn't the BAU a subdivision of the BSU?

~g~ No, but I'd love to hear one of the team casually drop a reference to the bunch Down the Hall (http://www.shadowunit.org) that takes on all the really weird cases...
