Fitting Victim Profile!

Ok, you guys are so going to laugh at me for this post.

I was watching the rerun for "The Internet Is Forever" and noticed I actually fit this victim profile! Creepy much? So! I was wondering if I could get a (virtual) show of hands of who else does? That would be pretty awesome and make me feel a lot less creep-ed out. LOL.

That's funny, I was actually thinking about posting about this haha!

I think they made it sound a bit too bad in the episode.

Personally I do all of what the victims where doing, only my facebook is "friends-only", I don't add random people, and my twitter is public but doesn't contain any personnal info like my address for exemple.

They really made internet sounds like EVIL and the victims.... like stupid no-life people desperate to have friends.
If internet was only full of that kind of people, the world would be really lonely.

That's why it's not my favorite episode.

And Reid.... "i don't have an email". Come on! He's working at the FBI, he must have at least a spencerreid@bau.fbi.com address or something like that. So no credible.

Funny is how the cast have the victim profile too then... hahaha!

Reid definitely has an email.... there's an episode earlier in the season-I forget which one but it's the one where Hotch starts giving Morgan the extra projects to prepare him to take over as unit chief- where Reid checks his email.

Don't ask me why I know that haha.

So either Reid is fucking with them or the continuity fairy disappeared big time.

Yeah! Would have been more credible to say he didn't have a Facebook page for example. I think it's more the continuity thing. Reid wouldn't really try to make humor in such a situation.

Maybe try to look at it this way: Wouldn’t it be much creepier to fit the unsub’s profile than the victim’s profile? That would definitely make me freak out, though fitting the victim’s profile probably isn’t all that comfortable a feeling, either. Just try not to think about it too hard and cheer up!

I start my master's degree in behavior analysis in less than two weeks...but I've been reading on the topic for YEARS. It seems like I have something in common with every unsub or identified offender. That is creepy. I also have a good friend who everyone jokes around will be a future serial killer and when I profile him....sometimes I get scared :)

I think my sister fits into the profile, minus the visual aspects. She writes where she's going, where she'll be, and even the fact that she's leaving the state, all on an open Facebook page.

Here, everything is locked down; and all the really personal stuff goes on a special filter so that only a few of my closest friends can see it instead of my entire friends list. On Facebook, I post about a.) the weather, b.) how much I want to go back to college, and c.) my dogs.
