Summary: AU story! "Spencer leaves in the morning, 42 minutes before Derek wakes up. He knows he's gone back into the real world when his hand searches for Spencer's warm body and it comes up empty. They both know it's not because he has to be anywhere."
Authors notes: This story is set in an alternate universe! I don't want to shock anybody, so I've written up some of the major differences compared to the "real" CM universe. More specifically, in New York City. The boys don't work at the BAU, instead spending their time with perhaps less socially acceptable hobbies. Spencer isn't and hasn't ever been a child prodogy. They're basically just two hot boys left to their own devices.
