Summary: Following from their conversation at the bar at the end of the episode, Gideon decides to do something about Reid's situation, invoking a deal they made shortly after Reid joined the BAU.
Note: I wrote the outline for this some three years ago, back when I first saw the ep, and rewrote it recently with some (a lot of) extra bits of plot. There's a sequel in beta, and at least a prequel and another sequel planned.
