I've started re-watching season 6 (Why? Because I've worked my way through re-watching 1-5 and reached the natural conclusion of 6, I'm linear like that, and a little bored after work), and last night landed my on 6X04.

You know, it may be a JJ-free ep, but it's one of the better showcases of the team working as a team, each using their own advantages and added value to the team, and meshing pretty perfectly even without JJ (Although I'm sure she'd have helped). Coming right out of the fairly up-and-down season 5, it feels almost relaxing, dead people of the week notwithstanding.

We have, in no particular order- Hotch being kickass-leader guy (his scene with Garcia at the end was just kinda perfect), Rossi being analytical and bringing in his piles of experience, Morgan being cop-friendly, action guy and really, really amazing with his pep talk to Garcia, Reid being clever and using his perceived disadvantage as a not-alpha-by-any-stretch as an advantage in the interview, Prentiss being kickass, focused and action-y but still all woman, and Garcia being her delightful self, trying to overstretch but finding her slot again.

It's sort of a rearrangement, like a pile of things where you reach in and pull something out (say, your communications liason), and everything settles in her wake, finding their place again in the new structure. Sort of the BAU family in action. Even considering that it's late in the season's run, I'd actually call it a really good into ep, showing everyone practically at their best. It made me very happy.

That said, I wish season 6 had better villains. Doyle's probably it for the season, and so far...No, not really scary. Nothing like the Big Bads of seasons past.

And no, I still don't like Seaver. But I may get over it. Don't think so, though. She hasn't shown her added value to the team yet.

*gets off soapbox* Thoughts? Comments?

This sort of applies to me, too. I don't think of her as a replacement of JJ, but I haven't found any use of her being in team. That being said, I'm still giving her a chance, and hoping to see some character developments in the future.

And I agree that the unsubs for this season aren't as creepy as the previous seasons's, which kind of gets me irritated, meh.

I feel like this season has been plenty creepy but I'm also one of those girls who is just easily creeped out so that's probably why. Haha.
