SO glad they did this with the team. My heart of course went out to Derek, Garcia, Reid and Rossi, but I was completely feeling for Hotch. Damn how hard that had to be and still is. Loved the toast.
Hotch talking her down reminded me of their own situation. About it not being their fault, getting help sooner, etc....
:(

I so agree with you here. The entire time I'm thinking he must feel like the world's biggest ass right now WHILE at the same time dealing with everyone else's grief. He basically took on the responsibility of counseling them to protect them and it's *such* a Hotch move.

I loved Rossi turning the tables on him...it's what I love most about their friendship. Rossi has the potential to bring the "inner" Hotch out. I enjoy it.

As usual, Reid was extremely handsome and today especially for whatever reason, I noticed how good looking the cast is as a whole (as if this is some discovery lol).

Finally, although I do like Seaver, I'm glad they kept her out of the therapy sessions, at least on screen...somehow it would have felt like she was intruding. Good Job, show :)

I agree with your post. I had the same the thoughts you had. The whole cast was looking exceptionally well tonight. Reid gets more and more handsome with that short haircut. The haters can step! He should keep like that forever and never let it grow long again.

I am actually surprised Seaver was kept out it. I guess Hotch wanted to focus on Morgan, Garcia, Reid and Rossi. It was such a Hotch move and he didn't even blink. I could never hold that kind of a secret or grief in or keep a "Hotch" face while he did it.

I knew Rossi would be the one flip it on Hotch. Same for Morgan in the end.

Yes, Seaver would have been totally unnecessary. imo There would have been no need to show her.. and I don't care if that makes me sound heartless... ;)

I don't think I'd be able to do what Hotch is doing either, but in some way I think he wants to take the responsibility of counseling the team to assuage his guilt or maybe find some way to battle it.

I'm not an expert on Hotch as a character, but from what I've seen, I feel like he would consider it his duty to do so, given that he has to carry the burden of knowing that Prentiss is still alive...I can only imagine how isolated he must feel. It's not like he can just call up J.J. and talk about it...my guess is it would be too suspicious and both of them are extremely cautious people.

I agree that Seaver being involved in the therapy sessions would have been unnecessary and I think the show did this one great thing by not including her, but I agree with what lovechilde wrote below...I wish they'd do a better job integrating her into the team...I wouldn't even mind another semi-Seaver centric episode if it made us see another side of her character. For now she's one-dimensional and it's irritating.

And o ya, the Reid haters CAN step...they're not allowed here :P.

Agreed! Rossi/Morgan always did show their care for Hotch when he was trying to care of them.

You don't sound heartless at all about Seaver beause I feel the same way. I am tried warming to her character I just can't. The way the character is written is just bad.

I didn't like Elle in the past but I never felt as though she was incompetent and didn't belong. Elle was cold at times but she did her job, was tough, smart and total badass. With Seaver it is like watching someone in training.

Agree! Rossi and Hotch scenes are so great as it is...and this one with them drinking and toasting together, well, my love for their friendship grew! :)
I didn't really have anything problem with Elle, but after her famous shooting, I'm all like badass, Elle, badass!!!!
Oh and I gotta say, Kelli Williams, you are badass too! :) Now head on back over to Lie To Me and make them renew! :)

Ending scene with Hotch and Morgan. What a sad sad one. Hotch's line got me so hard.
