Honestly, Gideon was a very, very selfish character. It makes sense to me that he would disappear and not contact anyone. Not as much sense as it would have for him to have committed suicide (which is my personal canon, tbh, because that's what it was supposed to be before Mandy diva'd and vetoed it). And if he'd been out of touch with the team for almost three years, he might not have even heard about the Reaper stuff.

I think Gideon was written to constantly be on that edge. I definitely don't think you're looking into it too much.

I think Jack was Haley's breaking point. I honestly think she could deal with being on her own so much when it was just her, but once a baby came into the picture HER priorities shifted and she couldn't understand how his couldn't.

Yes yes yes yes YES. That is all I have to contribute to this. I agree.

idk, it really is a matter of interpretation. From what we've seen of Jessica Brooks (who I love, don't get me wrong), I can see her being annoyed enough with Hotch at this point to just hang up because she didn't want to talk to him. My dad does this sometimes when my mom's (very long-winded) sister calls and he answers before checking the caller ID. I can see Hotch interpreting this as Haley cheating, hence the "Are you really doing this" / "I can't believe you think I'm doing this" sort of look.

But yeah, you're not using it to bash her, so I will just agree to disagree on that one. ;)
