It just seems to me too much to solve in one episode, especially in the season opener. They dragged her leaving arc out to like 7 eps, but her returning arc is - one episode?

I assume it's contractual, but it doesn't make sense in the plot. I figured it'd be a good few eps into the season before we got Prentiss back. What they SHOULD have done was shown pieces of her life in France over the first few episodes and then had her reconvene with the team. Instead it seems like we're going to see most of her rejoining the team in a flashback or something - just like I'm sure we'll get two lines about whatever happened to Ashley. Lame.

I don't mind a series of flashbacks, really...But yeah, I'm pissed off that it's gonna be like two lines about Seaver. It's so unfair.

Don't count more than two lines... Erica said on the chat that she did with the Criminal Minds blog that she'd like to do something more with Seaver slash something having to do with being the daughter of the serial killer (not exactly sure if that was truly it but something like that). We may get more of Seaver...

Yah, I think they kind of want to put the whole mess of last year behind them and forget about it. Not that the fans will...

They have such a mess to clean up from last year. And they're going to try to sweep it under the rug - I can already tell.

I agree, they do. But with budgets, time, etc. They'd almost have to go back in time to fix it, in order to make it right.

I agree. Even regular episodes tend to look always too short to wrap up the story, go figure how they will close Prentiss' arc.

Maybe it will be a season premiere double episode?

According to the Erica Messer it's Morgan during an investigation who uncovers Prentiss' fake death.
Scruffy Hotch might mean he took a break or was reassigned or whatever.
It might be that during the first episode the plot progresses with Emily on one side and the team on the other, until she finally rejoin them. Kind of what they did with Lauren.

Holy smoke... I can't stop thinking about that.... please stop me!
