‘CRIMINAL MINDS’: GARCIA LEANS ON MORGAN DURING CRISIS
Next Wednesday, Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) will find herself front and center on a case that will push her psyche to the limits as a friend of hers (Brigid Brannagh) goes missing. And as Vangsness previews, the horrific event will bring Garcia even closer to her BAU bestie, Morgan. “I think that he and J.J. are there the whole time, but she can totally be who she is around him,” says Vangsness. “When she gets crazy, he is the giver of that support she needs. When she is about to completely crack, he’s the one giving the tough love. He’s the one who comes to her when he thinks there’s something wrong.”

But while that kind of unconditional support is the stuff great love is made of, Vangsness says theirs is completely platonic — and she hopes that never changes. “It’s so much better in your imagination. Their talent is dancing on the line. If you go over that line, there’s no room for imagination,” she says. “You want that person always idealized. I think that’s the thing — they’re idealized in each other’s minds. And whenever you’re with somebody [romantically], you can no longer idealize them, and that’s no fun.”

In all, she says, the episode, which also guest stars Heroes’ Jack Coleman,” solidifies what you already know about them — they ain’t goin’ nowhere, in terms of their affection.”

Thanks so much for posting this! but man it makes me alittle sad. I'm such a Morgan and Garcia shipper. But she does have a point, in a way, but I want them to get together so bad!

Please don't break our baby girl, her awesome sweetness is what make the murdervision bearable.

I'll like it if they don't make any ships official, leaves room for fanfic. Unless there is a Prentiss/Reid baby. I pretty much ship everyone with everyone, and Prentiss and Reid isn't even my number one ship, but their baby would be awwwwwwwwwwwweeeesoome.

I kinda like their friendship (Morgan and Garcia's, I mean) as it is. With them just being really strong friends with heavy emphasis on flirtyness. :)

I totally understand where they're going in terms of their relationship and i totally agree that it would kind of been ruined if they bring their relationship to the next level. However that doesn't stop me from shipping them hard core in my brain, fanfiction and etc. I still hope that they'll get together someday, maybe when the show is in its last season (god forbid), but for now, I guess they should remain their "platonic" banter. Keep it ambiguous and pet us ship it rampant in our minds.

A Garcia centric episode? A Garcia episode where she and Morgan are their epic selves? I am on board.

I love Morgan/Garcia, but I don't romantically ship them. Romantically linking them would "ruin" their friendship. We've all been there, had that one best friend and then we've taken it a step further and it's ruined what you had before.

I love Morgan-Garcia in friendship only and I am glad the show is going with zero romantic relationships between the team tbh because that is the kind of plots that would make or break a show like this and fandom.
