Wow, I want to speak german. All I know are these words: hasst, du, ich, willkommen, ja, neine, nicht, nichts, and nacht. I feel left out.

No need to feel left out. *g* I, for one, would like to be able to speak Russian, but I haven't had the time to learn it. Or Spanish. A lot of people in the US can speak Spanish (or so it seems to me), and I always feel like I missed the joke when there's some Spanish used in the shows I watch. They never use Frech - there I would at least understand the basics.

Yeah, I know what you mean - learned English and French at school, but lost most of my vocabulary. In business I always use the same phrases, that's not very helpful...
I took some Spanish lessons later and also Russian, but if you do not have the opportunity to speak (or write *g*) it's wasted time - unfortunately.

For me it's difficult to write in English because school is long ago. But things like LJ will help practicing...
