My roommate and I were hollering about the parallels while it was showing, the "tobit.net" link really gave it away-we have both studied the Aporcypha, though, and so recognized that plot line as being pretty directly taken from the Book of Tobias. I was pretty excited to see that they used a text like that as inspiration. :)
Huh. I thought I linked to that in one of my comments to you back when Revelations aired. I certainly *meant* to. I found it when I went to look up the angel named Raphael, who appears in that book. I know I said something about that because I found it so freaky. Esp when they did Reid all in soft focus and angelic looking in the scene where he was having his mom committed. Sometimes I wish I knew more about the Apocrypha, then I think growing up Southern Baptist did enough damage and I should leave it alone.
On an entirely unrelated note, I haven't written my 750 novel words today. But I did write 870 words of backstory for one of the important characters. Which is going to change how he interacts with the viewpoint character. Can I count that I wonder? It'll only be in the novel tangentially.

This show is often like a detective game for lit and comparative religion students....
